The Ford EcoSport facelift was launched in November 2017. Recently, a test mule of the EcoSport with dual-tone alloy wheels and a 'Signature' badge was spotted near Chennai, which suggests that Ford might be gearing up to launch a limited edition version of the compact SUV in India.

The test car has an all-black exterior with black ORVMs, roof rails, rear spoiler and body cladding as well as a dual-tone rear bumper with silver trim around the number plate. It is riding on 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels with Y-shaped spokes. These are the same wheels that are optional on the US-spec EcoSport. The 'Signature' badge can be seen on the lower left side corner of the tailgate.

Ford offers the EcoSport in 5 variants - Ambiente, Trend, Trend+, Titanium and Titanium+. The top-spec Titanium+ variant gets the larger 17-inch wheels while lower variants get 16-inch alloys. Looking at the spy images, it is difficult to ascertain the variant on which the Signature edition is based on.

Engine options on the new EcoSport include a new 1.5-litre, 3-cylinder Dragon Series petrol engine which makes 121 BHP @ 6,500 rpm and 150 Nm of torque @ 4,500 rpm and a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine that produces 99 BHP @ 3,750 rpm and 205 Nm @ 1,750-3,250 rpm. While a 5-speed manual gearbox is offered with both engines, a 6-speed automatic is only available on the petrol version.
