Maruti will be launching the S-Cross facelift in India during this festive season. A leaked mini-brochure confirms that the S-Cross will be available in four variants - Sigma, Delta, Zeta, Alpha.

Looking at the variant-wise break up, it is clear that features like diamond cut 16-inch alloy wheels, front fog lamps, parking camera, electric ORVMs, automatic climate control, reclining rear seat, push button start, SmartPlay infotainment with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and cruise control are only available on the Zeta and Alpha variants. Features like LED projector headlights, LED tail lights and DRLs, automatic headlights with auto levelling, auto dimming IRVM, rain-sensing wipers and leather upholstery is only available on the top-end Alpha trim.

The Delta variant gets parking sensors instead of a camera and steel wheels instead of alloys. It also misses out on the SmartPlay infotainment system and instead gets a basic unit with Bluetooth, Aux-in, USB and steering mounted audio and calling controls. That said, features like keyless entry, all wheel disc brakes, engine start/stop, tilt steering (telescopic adjust available on Delta, Zeta and Alpha trim), 60:40 split rear seats are standard across all variants. Safety features like dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, ISOFIX child safety anchorage and seat belt pre-tensioners with force safe limiters are also standard across all variants. The structure of the new S-Cross is claimed to be compliant with front, front-offset and side impact crash test norms and has pedestrian safety built-in.

The S-Cross facelift will be offered with only one engine choice - a 1.3-litre, 4-cylinder DDiS 200 SHVS (Smart Hybrid Vehicle from Suzuki) diesel engine which produces 89 BHP @ 4,000 rpm and 200 Nm of torque @ 1,750 rpm. Features like idle start/stop, torque assist, brake energy regeneration and gear shift indicator are all part of SHVS.

The S-Cross facelift will be available in five colours options - Nexa Blue, Caffeine Brown, Granite Grey, Premium Silver and Pearl Arctic White.
