Rumour: Porsche to launch Taycan EV in India in 2020

According to a media report, Porsche is planning to launch the Taycan all-electric car in India before the end of May 2020. It is likely to be imported as a completely built unit (CBU).

The Porsche Taycan is a four-door electric sedan powered by two permanently excited synchronous motors (PSM) that have a combined output of 590 BHP. Porsche claims that the car can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 3.5 seconds, while 200 km/h comes up in under 12 seconds.

The Taycan is based on an 800 V architecture. The batteries are said to offer a maximum range of 500 km. Recharging the batteries for 4 minutes is sufficient for a range of 100 km.
