Range Rover Evoque facelift revealed

Arguably Land Rover's style icon, the Range Rover Evoque's facelifted avatar has just been revealed. The new Evoque features moderate cosmetic touch ups including a new front bumper, two new grille designs, all-LED headlamps and three all-new alloy wheel designs.

Interior changes include new seats and door casings, a new infotainment system - accessed via an eight-inch touchscreen interface, and the introduction of new colours and materials. While facelifts are usually restricted to cosmetic alterations, the new Evoque also benefits from JLR's Ingenium diesel engine.

The TD4 turbo-diesel engine is said to be 20-30 kgs lighter than its predecessor and will be offered in two states of tune: 147.5 BHP and 177 BHP. The British car maker says the diesel Evoque is the most efficient production Land Rover ever. Those who prefer petrol power can opt for the 237 BHP Si4 turbo-petrol engine as well.

More than 400,000 units of Evoque have been produced since its introduction in 2011 making it the fastest-selling Land Rover of all time. The updated Evoque will make its public debut at the Geneva motor show, set to take place next month.
