Porsche has imported a single unit of the 718 Cayman for homologation purpose. The automaker has already started accepting bookings of the 718 Cayman and Boxster in India, with deliveries expected to start from November 2016.

Unlike the previous generation model's massive 3.4-litre, six-cylinder engine, the new Porsche 718 Cayman is equipped with a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, turbocharged unit that churns out 295 BHP and 380 Nm of torque, while being mated to a 7-speed PDK automatic gearbox. Porsche claims that the new Cayman can do a 0-100 km/h sprint in 4.9 seconds, while its top speed is limited to 275 km/h.

Porsche has started accepting bookings for the 718 Cayman which is priced at Rs. 80.13 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai).
