Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 leaked ahead of debut

The Guerrilla 450 is expected to compete with the Triumph Speed 400 in the Indian market.

Royal Enfield is all set to unveil a new roadster, called the Guerrilla 450, later this month. The bike will be showcased in Barcelona on July 17, but the first images have already leaked online.

The Guerrilla 450 was spotted completely undisguised during a TVC shoot, revealing some of the finer details. The first thing you notice is the dual-tone colour scheme and the Guerrilla 450 badge on the side panel. The bike sports a beefy look partly due to the meaty dual-purpose tyres.

The riding position is like a typical roadster with wide handlebars and rear-set footrests. In terms of equipment, the Guerrilla 450 gets a semi-analogue instrument console, a fairly compact round LED headlamp and a single-piece seat.

The Guerrilla 450 will be powered by the same Sherpa 450 engine. This 452cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder unit produces 39 BHP @ 8,000 rpm and 40 Nm @ 5,500 rpm. The engine will be paired with a 6-speed gearbox.

The suspension setup comprises of telescopic front forks that has rubber gaiters for extra protection from the elements and a mono-shock at the rear. There are disc brakes at both ends.
