Petrol and diesel prices hiked again

Fuel prices in India have been hiked for the second time in 4 days due to an increase in commission paid to the dealers. In Delhi, the price of petrol has gone up by 14 paise, while diesel is now costlier by 10 paise per litre.

The scheduled fortnightly price revision, which took place on October 1, saw the price of petrol increased by 28 paise and diesel cut by 6 paise. In Delhi, this revision had resulted in a hike of 36 paise in petrol and a cut of 7 paise in diesel, including the state levies.

After the latest price hike, petrol in Delhi costs Rs. 64.72 per litre, while diesel is priced at Rs. 52.61 per litre.
