Nissan recalls 12,000 cars in India

Nissan has recalled around 12,000 cars in India to fix an issue with their engine switches and airbags. This is a part of a global recall issued by the company involving 2,70,000 cars.

Models recalled in India, include the Sunny sedan and Micra hatchback manufactured between June 2013 and March 2015. The engine switches of the affected cars will be replaced free of cost at authorised Nissan dealerships.

The cars with faulty airbags constitute a small number of the total number of cars recalled. The airbags have been manufactured by Takata. Various manufacturers have recalled vehicles globally over problems with airbags made by Takata.
