BMW has previewed the new 7-Series sedan to customers in Goa.
The new 7-Series, which is BMW's flagship sedan is constructed using carbon fibre reinforced plastic (CRPF) along with steel and aluminium. It weighs 130 kg lesser than the outgoing model. The design of the car appears to be an evolution of its predecessor's.
The top-end trim level of the 7-series is expected to be equipped with features such as laser lights, iDrive 5.0, a surround sound system from Bowers & Wilkins, gesture control, 4-zone climate control, massaging rear seats, rear seat entertainment with BMW Touch Command and remote control parking among others.
The new 7-Series is likely to be available with a choice of petrol and diesel engines in India:
The 7-Series will compete against the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, Audi A8 and Jaguar XJ.
