Earlier this week, we had reported that the Mahindra Scorpio facelift is likely to be launched on November 14, 2017. Recent spy images have suggested that the first lot of cars may have been dispatched to dealerships. Now, we have procured another set of images, which reveal more information about the SUV.

As part of the refreshed exterior package, the new Scorpio facelift gets a revised grille with 7 slats that appears to draws inspiration from the Jeep Compass. Besides this, the headlamps have been slightly tweaked, while chrome accents has been added in the fog lamp housings. The front bumper gets a silver scuff plate and a wide air dam.

On the sides, the vehicle gets new 5-spoke alloy wheels finished in silver and the ORVMs with integrated turn-indicators. At the rear, the facelifted version gets a chrome license plate garnish, which appears to house a rear view camera. The rear bumper comes with two parking sensors instead of four, which were present in the outgoing model. The LED tail lamps and roof spoiler have been carried over.

On the inside, the Scorpio facelift is expected to get an updated touchscreen infotainment system. The unit is likely to be compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Some variants of the Scorpio are expected to be offered with front-facing third row of seats.

The new Scorpio is likely to be powered by an updated version of the 2.2-litre, 4-cylinder mHawk diesel engine. According to an ARAI document, the new model will be available in S7 trim with a 138 BHP engine. This variant will have two-wheel drive and 8 seats.
