Mercedes-Benz GLB 7-seater SUV discontinued in India

Mercedes has said that a new GLB will be introduced in India.

The Mercedes-Benz GLB is no longer on sale in India. The 7-seater SUV was imported into the country via the CBU route and was priced at Rs 63.80 lakh (ex-showroom).

The GLB was Mercedes’ most affordable 7-seater model. It was available in three variants: GLB 200 Progressive, 220d 4Matic and 220d AMG Line 4Matic.

Powering the GLB was a 1.3-litre turbo-petrol engine paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox and a 2.0-litre diesel engine that was mated to an 8-speed automatic and an all-wheel drive system.

The GLB facelift made its global debut in March 2023. The updated version comes with minor exterior changes and new features, including the latest MBUX infotainment system. Under the bonnet are new mild-hybrid petrol and diesel engines.

Mercedes has said that a new GLB will be introduced in India. However, the timeline for the same hasn’t been disclosed.
