Maruti Suzuki opens its 250th CV showroom

Maruti Suzuki has launched its 250th commercial vehicle (CV) showroom in India. The new dealership is located in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. With the launch of the new showroom, Maruti's commercial retail channel now has presence in 193 cities.

Maruti sells the Super Carry through its commercial channel. The light commercial vehicle (LCV) is powered by a 793cc, 2-cylinder, turbocharged diesel engine that produces 32 BHP @ 3,500 rpm and 75 Nm of torque @ 2,000 rpm. Maruti also offers a CNG variant of the Super Carry. It is powered by a 1.2-litre, fuel-injected engine that puts out 64 BHP @ 6,000 rpm and 85 Nm @ 3,000 rpm. Both engines are paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox.

According to Maruti Suzuki, 20,000 Super Carry LCVs were sold in the first 24 months of its launch. The first 10,000 units were sold in 18 months, while the next 10,000 units were dispatched in just over 6 months.
