Maruti exports 1 millionth car from Gujarat's Mundra port

Maruti Suzuki has exported its 1 millionth car from the Mundra Port in Gujarat. The 1 millionth car was an Oxford Blue Dzire that was bound for Chile.

Maruti Suzuki has achieved this milestone within a decade. The company started shipping cars from the Mundra port in 2009. It is Maruti's second car terminal port and has a pre-delivery inspection (PDI) facility and a stockyard.

At present, Maruti Suzuki exports 14 models including the Alto K10, Celerio, Baleno, Ignis and Dzire to international markets. The carmaker also ships vehicles from the Mumbai port.
