Mahindra TUV300 interiors snapped ahead of launch

Mahindra will launch the TUV300 compact SUV on September 10, 2015. With just days to go for the launch, images of the interiors of the car have surfaced on the internet.

The TUV300's interiors have a black and beige theme. The steering wheel is finished in black and does not have integrated controls or a silver insert, indicating that the vehicle in the pictures is not the top-of-the-line variant. The centre console does not get a piano black finish either and there is no 2-DIN infotainment system.

The HVAC control rotors have chrome rings and a 12V power outlet is located below them. The gear lever is finished in black and there are storage spaces above the air-conditioner vents and next to the gear level. The controls for the power windows are also located just behind the gear level. The front door houses a bottle holder.

While the car in the images has a manual transmission, the TUV300 is also expected to come with an automated manual transmission (AMT).

The TUV300 will be powered by an mHawk diesel engine. This unit is believed to be a reworked version of the 1.5-litre, 3-cylinder power plant from the Quanto.
