Mahindra eVerito all-electric sedan launched at Rs. 9.5 lakh

Mahindra has launched the eVerito all-electric sedan at prices starting from Rs. 9.5 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Initially, the eVerito will be sold only in Delhi, while other cities like Pune, Bangalore and Mumbai will see the eVerito launch at a later date.

Mahindra eVerito will be powered by a 72V, 3-phase motor that develops 40 BHP and 91 Nm of torque. This powertrain will be able to take the car to a top speed of 86 kmph. On a single charge, it can cover a distance of 110 kilometers. Additionally, Mahindra has equipped the eVerito with regenerative braking system, which develops power and charges the batteries every time the driver applies brakes. It also includes a boost mode that provides a surge of power for a few seconds. A revive mode further extracts 8 kilometers worth of range so that the driver can reach the nearest charging location in case the battery runs out of juice.

Mahindra has also provided a fast charge system with the eVerito sedan. This can help the user to charge the eVerito to 80% in just 1 hour 45 minutes. On the other hand, charging it through a normal 15A power socket will take 8 hours 45 mins. Other features on offer with the electric Verito include follow-me-home headlamps, alloy wheels, and music system.

The eVerito is Mahindra's second all-electric product, after the e20 hatchback. Mahindra officials have also suggested that the company will be introducing more electric vehicles in the near future, in various different segments of the market. Mahindra claims that the eVerito's running cost will be as low as Rs. 1.15 per kilometer.

Variant-wise prices (ex-showroom Delhi):

  • eVerito D2 : Rs. 9.5 lakh
  • eVerito D4 : Rs. 9.75 lakh
  • eVerito D6 : Rs. 10 lakh
