According to a media report, Kia is planning to introduce two new variants of the Sonet - HTX Petrol DCT and HTX Diesel AT.
The Sonet HTX Petrol DCT will be positioned above the HTK Plus trim. It will be offered with a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that puts out 118 BHP and 172 Nm. The engine will be mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
The HTX Diesel AT variant will be offered with the 1.5-litre diesel engine producing 113 BHP and 250 Nm and will be mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission.
The HTX trim comes with features such as LED headlamps with LED daytime running lights, electric sunroof, automatic climate control, and an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity.
It has also been reported that the HTK+ Petrol DCT, HTK+ Diesel AT and HTX+ Diesel AT variants will be discontinued.
