Kia Carens Clavis launched at Rs 11.49 lakh

The Carens Clavis will be sold alongside the standard Carens. The latter is available in a single Premium (O) variant priced at Rs 11.41 lakh.

Earlier this month, Kia unveiled the Carens Clavis, a revised version of the 3-row MPV. The carmaker has now announced the variant-wise prices.

The Carens Clavis is available in seven variants: HTE, HTE(O), HTK, HTK+, HTK+(O), HTX and HTX+, with prices starting at Rs 11.49 lakh (ex-showroom).

The design of the Carens Clavis is based on Kia’s ‘Opposites United’ philosophy. It features the brand’s signature Digital Tiger Face with Ice Cube MFR LED headlamps and LED DRLs, as well as Starmap LED connected taillamps. It rides on 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels.

Inside, the Carens Clavis offers 3-row seating and is available in 6- and 7-seater configurations. The 2-row seats can slide and recline and have a one-touch electric tumble function. The car comes with a 26.62-inch dual panoramic display featuring the digital instrument cluster and touchscreen infotainment, a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, a 4-way powered driver’s seat, ventilated front seats, an 8-speaker Bose sound system and a seat-mounted air purifier.

Kia Carens Clavis safety features:

The car comes equipped with a host of safety features. These include 6 airbags, ESC, Hill-start Assist Control, Downhill Brake Control, Rear Occupant Alert System, TPMS and a 360-degree camera. It also gets Level 2 ADAS with features like Smart Cruise Control with Stop and Go, Front Collision Avoidance Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, Blind Spot Collision Warning, Blind View Monitor and Rear Cross Traffic Collision Avoidance Assist.

The Carens Clavis is available with three engine options. These include the 1.5L Petrol, 1.5L Turbo Petrol and 1.5L Diesel engine. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual, 6-speed iMT, 6-speed automatic, and a 7-speed DCT.

Customers get a choice of eight exterior colours: Ivory Silver Gloss, Pewter Olive, Imperial Blue, Glacier White Pearl, Gravity Grey, Sparkling Silver, Aurora Black Pearl, and Clear White.
