Hyundai Verna facelift to be launched on February 18, 2015

Hyundai Motor India has announced that it will launch the Verna facelift on February 18, 2015.

The facelifted Verna gets cosmetic changes such as a redesigned front grille, revised front bumper, reshaped fog lamps, new headlamps and tail lamps, reworked rear bumper with integrated reflectors and redesigned alloy wheels. On the inside, the car is not likely to get any major changes.

The Verna facelift is expected to continue with the same 1.4-litre and 1.6-litre petrol and diesel engines and manual and automatic as the current model. The car is also likely to get a tweaked suspension and steering, which will provide better feedback than the current model.

The sales of the Verna have been consistently falling over the past months. With the upgrades, Hyundai will be hoping to increase the car's appeal and prop up the sales figures. The main rivals for the Verna include the Honda City and Maruti Suzuki Ciaz.
