News about the upcoming Hyundai Creta is flooding the internet. On several occasions in the past, we have spotted the exteriors and interiors of this new compact SUV. Now, a base variant of this car has been spotted.

The base variant of the Creta, likely to be called the 'S' variant, will get regular halogen headlamps and will miss out on the projector headlamps and LED day-time running lights. It is likely to be missing chrome touches across the car which includes the front grill, door handles and rear number plate garnish. Even alloy wheels will not be available as a part of standard equipment.

However, even the base variant gets front fog lamps, body coloured door handles, ORVMs with integrated turn indicators, a black body cladding to give it a rugged look, roof rails and silver skid plates (front and rear). Not much can be derived regarding the equipment levels on the base variant, but it does get a manual day/night interior rear view mirror and possibly remote-key entry too, but misses out on a rear wiper and washer.

The Creta is likely to be launched on July 21, 2015 and will compete with the likes of the upcoming Maruti S-Cross, Renault Duster, Nissan Terrano and Ford EcoSport.
