My Hyundai Creta clocks 30,000 km in 10 months: Ownership experience

I definitely miss that punch and excitement which my Thar (Petrol Manual) gives me on Highways.

BHPian vimalvittaladas recently shared this with other enthusiasts.

I have 10-month-old Creta AE Petrol IVT which clocked 29500 kms till now. Today it had 30000 kms paid service done at Sharyu Hyundai, Navi Mumbai.

It is my daily commute to the office at Nariman Point which is for 80 kms drive a day. The morning drive is smooth as I reach the office by 8.15 am while the evening is mostly in bumper-to-bumper traffic as I leave the office by 5.45 pm. Occasionally, I take Atal Sethu to avoid traffic. I also did 4 Kerala drives in this short period and a couple of Goa trips.

The experience is satisfactory both in city traffic and highways. I am finding it easy to drive in bumper-to-bumper traffic thanks to the auto hold function and IVT(My earlier four vehicles were manual and this is my first automatic). On highways, I found it as a relaxed and comfortable cruiser that never felt fatigued. It has all the features which make you drive sedatively on highways. I had to plan my overtaking as the initial lag is evident at lower gears. I definitely miss that punch and excitement that my Thar (Petrol Manual) gives me on Highways.

In city driving I use economy mode which gives me 17 plus mileage even in Mumbai traffic. While on highways I am getting 13-15 range easily with comfort mode and maintaining an average speed of 90-100 km/ltr. Occasionally I use sport mode and it eats into the fuel consumption and mileage dips to 10-12 km/ltr.

I use my Creta for travel with my family which includes my better half and two kids. The Thar is used occasionally for fun drives with friends when we have some off-roading plans. The former one keeps you relaxed while the latter one excites you and brings a smile to your face whenever you drive it.
