Honda Amaze scores 4-stars in Global NCAP crash tests

The India-made Honda Amaze has scored 4-stars for adult occupant safety and 1-star for child safety in crash tests conducted by Global NCAP under the #SaferCarsforAfrica program. The tested model is on sale in South Africa. 

According to the test report, the car offered good protection to the head and neck area and adequate protection to the chest of the driver and passenger. Driver's and passenger's knees showed marginal protection.

The car offered poor protection to the head of an 18 month old child and a 3 year old child seated in a child seat. Both the bodyshell and footwell area of the car was rated as stable.

The test car was equipped with front seat belt pretensioners with seat belt warning for driver, dual airbags, ISOFIX child safety seat anchors and ABS.
