Hero launches new Achiever 150 at Rs. 61,800

Hero MotoCorp has launched the new Achiever 150 in India. The bike is available in two variants, with the base variant having drum brakes at the front and rear, and the higher trim having a disc brake at the front. The Achiever 150 Drum variant is priced at Rs. 61,800, while the Disc variant is priced at Rs. 62,800 (ex-showroom, Delhi). It is available in 3 colours - Panther Black Metallic, Candy Blazing Red and Ebony grey Metallic.

Powering the new Achiever is a 150 cc, BS-IV compliant, air-cooled, single-cylinder, four-stroke engine that churns out 13.4 BHP @ 8,000 rpm and a peak torque of 12.8 Nm @ 5,000 rpm. This engine also gets Hero's patented i3S technology, which is essentially an automatic start-stop system. The Achiever 150 has become the fourth product to be completely developed by Hero MotoCorp, without any inputs or assistance from its former partner - Honda.

Braking duties on the base model are handled by 130 mm drum brakes at the front and rear, while the disc brake variant gets a 240 mm disc at the front.

Other features on offer include automatic headlight on (AHO), side stand indicator, and a maintenance-free battery. The Achiever also gets alloy wheels on both variants, which are shod with 80/100-18 tubeless tyres.

Hero has also launched a special edition of the Achiever 150 in order to commemorate 70 million Hero customers in the country. This special edition model gets a white paint shade and tri-colour decals on the body panels. Only 70 units of the special edition Achiever will be sold.
