Force Gurkha teased ahead of launch

The Force Gurkha's main rival in the Indian market is the Mahindra Thar.

Force Motors has teased the next-gen Gurkha ahead of the off-roader's launch. The carmaker is expected to launch the 3-door Gurkha first, followed by the 5-door variant, at a later date.

The new Gurkha was first showcased at the 2020 Auto Expo. It is expected to get circular headlamps with integrated LED daytime running lights, a snorkel, a tailgate-mounted spare wheel, a touchscreen infotainment system, captain seats for the second row and side-facing jump seats at the rear.

The new Gurkha is expected to be powered by a 2.6-litre diesel engine producing 89 BHP and 260 Nm. The engine will be mated to a 5-speed manual transmission, a low range gearbox and an all-wheel-drive system. An independent front suspension and a rigid axle at the rear will further add to its off-road capability.
