BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe launched at Rs. 39.30 lakh

The M Sport variant gets a sporty body kit and extra features.

BMW has launched the 2 Series Gran Coupe in India. The car is available in two variants Sport Line and M Sport priced at Rs. 39.30 lakh and Rs. 41.40 lakh (ex-showroom) respectively.

The 2 Series Gran Coupe is a four-door sedan based on the 2 Series Coupe. The car has a sloping roofline and pillar-less doors, similar to the larger 6 Series Gran Coupe. It features a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a touchscreen infotainment head-unit and comes with features such as 2-zone automatic climate control, cruise control with braking function, automatic headlights, rain sensing wipers and panoramic sunroof to name a few.

The M Sport variant gets a sporty bodykit and 18-inch M light alloy wheels. On the inside, the car comes with M leather steering wheel, leather-wrapped gearshift lever with M badge, 205 W 10-speaker audio system, gesture control and wireless charging.

Powering the 2 Series Gran Coupe will be a 2.0-litre diesel engine that produces 187 BHP @ 4,000 rpm and 400 Nm @ 1,750-2,500 rpm. The engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission, which drives the front wheels. The car comes with gearshift paddles, launch control and has three driving modes - ECOPRO, Comfort and Sport.

The BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe will compete with the upcoming Mercedes-Benz A Class Limousine in the Indian market.
