Bajaj Auto has launched the Pulsar RS200 motorcycle in India. It is available in two versions - non-ABS and ABS.
The Pulsar RS200 features a perimeter frame, full fairing with twin projector headlamps, LED pilot lamps, crystal LED tail lamps, and a midship race exhaust. The bike measures 1,999 mm long, 765 mm wide and 1,114 mm tall with a wheelbase of 1,355 mm and a ground clearance of 157mm. It weighs 165 kg and its fuel tank has a capacity of 13 litres. It is available in two colours - red and yellow.
Powering the RS200 is a 199.5 cc, single-cylinder, 4-valve, liquid-cooled Triple Spark DTS-I engine capable of producing 24.2 bhp @ 9750 rpm and 18.6 Nm of torque @ 8000 rpm. The engine features a fuel injection system and is coupled to a 6-speed gearbox. Bajaj claims that the bike can achieve a top speed of 141 kph.
Stopping power is provided by a 300 mm disc brake at the front and a 230 mm disc brake at the rear. The ABS version, as its name suggests, comes with a single-channel ABS the front. Suspension duties are taken care of by a telescopic fork and a nitrox monoshock at the front and rear respectively. RS200 rides on 17-inch wheels shod with a 100/80-17 52 P tubeless tyre at the front and a 130/70-17 62 P tubeless tyre at the rear.
The RS200 also gets a maintenance-free battery.
