Aprilia SR 125 spotted at dealership

In May 2017, a test mule of the Aprilia SR 125 was spotted in Pune. Now, images of a couple of SR 125s spotted at a dealership have surfaced on the internet. According to a media report, the scooter is likely to be launched in the coming weeks.

The spy images indicate that the SR 125 will be available in two new colour options - blue and silver. The styling is identical to the SR 150 with similar decals, but 'SR 125' labels. The front cowl houses twin-headlamps, while the turn-indicators are placed on the handlebar. The scooter comes with a stepped seat and a split rear grab handle. Like the SR 150 version, the SR 125 is equipped with a telescopic fork suspension at the front and a shock absorber at the rear. It rides on 14-inch alloy wheels.

The Aprilia SR 125 is expected to be powered by the same 125 cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that powers the Vespa SXL 125 and VXL 125. This unit generates 10 BHP @ 7,500 rpm and 10.6 Nm of torque @ 6,000 rpm. The SR 125 is likely to be offered with a disc brake at the front and a drum brake at the rear.

While Aprilia hasn't announced the price of the SR 125, it is expected to be positioned below the SR 150, which is priced at Rs. 69,600 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
