5000 miles with my Hyundai Palisade: Our faithful daily driver

Being the primary drive, the Pali has been faithfully doing its job of daily runs to the office, groceries, day care and the occasional drive to chill.

Hit the 5000 mile (8000 kms) mark yesterday.

Being the primary drive, the Pali has been faithfully doing its job of daily runs to the office, groceries, day care and the occasional drive to chill.

So far, other than the 2 runs to DC and back, I haven’t done any other highway run. We took a small trip ( about 160 odd mile round trip ) to a local state park about a week ago, just to get some fresh air and take the babies out. But that would hardly count as a highway drive.

The story in numbers:

1. Days of ownership: 138
2. Miles driven : 5000
3. Fuel consumed : 1980 gallons ( and she doesn’t look very efficient, eh )
4. There is really no difference between the drive modes except sports mode that tends to hold the gears a little longer with higher revs ( and tighten the side bolsters !)

Time to give the Pali a nice wash.
