While Hyundai is preparing to launch the third generation i20 in India, over in Europe, the carmaker has revealed its sportier version called the i20 N.

To transform the i20 into a hot hatchback, Hyundai has given it a sporty body kit and a more powerful engine. It has black interiors with blue accents, sports seats, sport steering wheel with a red button marked "Rev", metal pedals and a digital instrument cluster with unique graphics.

Under the bonnet, it gets a 1.6-litre, turbocharged 4-cylinder petrol engine that produces 204 BHP and 275 Nm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission and comes with a limited-slip differential. The car has a power-to-weight ratio of 171 BHP per ton.

Hyundai has also beefed up the suspension. The i20 N gets new joints, springs and shock absorbers. Larger diameter brakes provide better stopping power.
