2021 Ducati Diavel 1260 BS6 launched at Rs. 18.49 lakh

The bike costs Rs. 18.49 lakh for the base variant and Rs. 21.49 lakh (ex-showroom) for the 1260 S.

The Ducati Diavel 1260 and 1260 S are now available with BS6-compliant engines. The bike costs Rs. 18.49 lakh for the base variant and Rs. 21.49 lakh (ex-showroom) for the 1260 S.

The 2021 Diavel 1260 BS6 weighs 249 kg (kerb weight) which is 5 kg more than the outgoing model. The 1260 S, however, is 2 kg lighter than the standard model.

The 1,262cc, twin-cylinder engine has been updated to comply with BS6 emission norms. It now produces 160 BHP @ 9,500 rpm and 129 Nm @ 7,500 rpm. That's 3 BHP more than its predecessor. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. A 2-way quick-shifter is offered as standard on the 1260 S.

Ducati has made a few changes on the chassis side. The bike is based on a tubular steel trellis frame with an aluminium swingarm. It gets fully adjustable 50 mm forks at the front and an adjustable mono-shock at the rear. The 1260 S comes equipped with fully adjustable Ohlins 48 mm fork and mono-shock at the front and rear, respectively.

Both variants get upgraded riding modes. The Ducati Link App lets the rider set 'journey mode' and personalize the parameters of each individual riding mode - Sport, Touring and Urban. It also gets the "Dragster" mode which can be used for quick launches.
