Ducati Hypermotard 698 Mono teased ahead of India launch

The Hypermotard 698 Mono packs the world's most powerful single-cylinder engine.

Ducati India has shared a teaser of the Hypermotard 698 Mono on social media, confirming that the supermoto bike will be launched soon.

The teaser image partially reveals the front of the bike with its LED headlamp and LED DRLs. One can also see the high-set front fender that's typical of a supermoto.

The Hypremotard 698 Mono is powered by a 659cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that produces 77.5 BHP @ 9,750 rpm and 63 Nm @ 8,000 rpm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox via a slip-and-assist clutch.

Ducati also offers an optional Termignoni race exhaust which bumps the overall output of the engine to 84.5 BHP and 67 Nm, making it the most powerful single-cylinder engine in the world.

The Hypermotard is based on a steel trellis frame suspended by an adjustable Marzocchi USD fork at the front and a Sachs monoshock at the rear. Braking is handled by a 330 mm disc at the front and a 245 mm disc at the rear.
