A test mule of the Volkswagen Golf GTD has been spotted on the streets of Bangalore. Usually, VW test mules are seen near Pune where the factory is located. Hence, this Golf GTD is more likely being used as a test bed by Bosch R&D for emissions testing purposes.

The Golf GTD is one of the performance variants of the Mk7 Golf currently on sale in the international market. This fully-loaded variant comes with LED headlights with twin-LED DRLs and LED tail lights. It gets a tweaked front bumper, twin exhaust tips and larger wheels compared to the standard Golf. On the inside, it gets a 3-spoke multi-functional steering wheel, twin-pod instrument cluster and a touchscreen infotainment system.

Powering the Golf GTD is a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine which produces 181 BHP and 350 Nm of peak torque. It is paired with a 7-speed DSG.
