Volvo S60 T6 launched in India at Rs. 42 lakh

Volvo has launched the S60 T6 in India at a price of Rs. 42 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The S60 T6 is powered by a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine that develops 302 BHP and 400 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. The car is available in front-wheel drive configuration only.

The S60 T6 gets features such as daytime running lights and optional 18-inch alloy wheels. On the inside, the car gets wood and leather, optional sports seats and an adaptive digital display with a TFT display. The climate control of the car has an Interior air quality system that, Volvo claims, monitors the quality of the incoming air and automatically closes the air vents if the levels of harmful substances become too high. It also has a clean zone interior package - a technology that vents out the air in the car within one minute from the time the car is unlocked with the remote control.

On the safety front, the S60 T6 comes equipped with features such as airbags, side-impact protection system, whiplash protection, and an automatic braking system that is active at speeds up to 50 kph. The car also has a personal car communicator - a system that holds security information for the owner about the car's current lock and alarm status. This system also includes keyless entry and keyless drive.

This S60 is Volvo's rival for the Audi A4, BMW 3-series and the Mercedes C-class.
