Triumph is all set to launch a new version of the Scrambler 400X in India. The bike, which has already been spotted testing, will be called the Scrambler 400XC.
Media reports suggest that the Scrambler 400XC will cost around Rs 25,000-30,000 more than the 400X. For which you get a few upgrades, such as cross-spoke wheels shod with tubeless tyres, a metal bash plate, a body-coloured high fender and a flyscreen.
The Scrambler 400XC will be powered by the same 398cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine as the standard model. This unit puts out 39.5 BHP and 37.5 Nm and is mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
Similarly, the suspension setup will be carried over from the standard Scrambler 400X. It will feature a 43 mm USD fork in the front and an adjustable mono-shock in the rear, while braking will be handled by a 320 mm disc up front with a 4-piston caliper and a 230 mm disc in the rear paired with a single-piston caliper.
