Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder achieves 1 lakh sales milestone

The Urban Cruiser Hyryder is available with petrol, strong-hybrid and CNG powertrains.

Toyota has achieved a major milestone as sales of the Urban Cruiser Hyryder crossed the 1 lakh unit mark.

Launched in 2022, the Urban Cruiser Hyryder is a rebadged version of the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara. The SUV is available with petrol and strong hybrid powertrains, with prices starting at Rs 11.14 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Urban Cruiser Hyryder strong-hybrid uses a 1.5-litre petrol engine that makes 91 BHP and 122 Nm and an electric motor with an output of 78 BHP and 141 Nm. The SUV is also offered with a 1.5-litre K-series mild-hybrid unit that makes 103 BHP and 137 Nm. 

The Hyryder is also offered with a factory-fitted CNG kit. The CNG version is available in two variants, with prices starting at Rs 13.71 lakh. The Hyryder CNG is powered by a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder K-series engine paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox. It develops 99 BHP and 136 Nm when running on petrol, but the overall output drops to 87 BHP and 121.5 Nm when running on CNG.
