Toyota Fortuner TRD Sportivo spotted in India

Toyota will soon introduce the TRD Sportivo version of the Fortuner in India. With the launch imminent, the SUV has already been spotted at a dealership.

The India-spec Fortuner TRD Sportivo will reportedly be available only in a white exterior shade. The images suggest that most of the chrome bits on the vehicle have been replaced with black trim. It gets a blacked-out front grille with a TRD logo, a revised bumper with an integrated scuff plate and black fog lamp housings at the front. The rear bumper gets a similar dual-tone treatment. It also features TRD Sportivo decals on the sides and rides on a new set alloy wheels. On the inside, the TRD Sportivo is seen with black upholstery and new floor mats.

According to reports, the new Fortuner TRD Sportivo is likely to be available in 2WD and with a choice of a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic gearbox. The SUV is expected to be powered by Toyota's 2.8-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine that puts out 175 BHP @ 3,400 rpm and 450 Nm (420 Nm for MT) of torque @ 1,600-2,400 rpm.
