Tata Safari (7-seater Harrier) production begins

The new Tata Safari is set to be unveiled on January 26, 2021.

A leaked image from the Tata Motors factory suggests that the production of the upcoming Tata Safari has commenced.

The 7-seat version of the Harrier has been christened as the Safari. The SUV is scheduled to be unveiled on January 26, 2021.

The styling of the new Safari is similar to the Harrier, especially the front fascia. That said, the SUV gets a chrome grille that looks rather upmarket. The car seen in this image appears to be a lower variant since it is riding on steel wheels. Unlike the Harrier, it will get a third row of seats.

The Safari is expected to be offered with a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine producing 170 BHP and 350 Nm of torque. The engine could be mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
