Tata Nexon - interiors revealed in new spy shots

Interiors of the Tata Nexon have been revealed through a new set of spy shots. The test mule spotted is reportedly in its pre-production guise, and has a moderately camouflaged dashboard.

The spy shots reveal a drive mode knob placed behind the gear lever. This knob will be used to toggle between the three driving modes on offer: City, Eco & Sport. The cabin is also expected to get a free standing, 6.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which appears to be missing from the spotted test mule.

The Nexon will be competing in the compact SUV segment and will thus rival the likes of the Maruti Vitara Brezza and the Ford EcoSport. It will be powered by a 1.2-litre petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. Both engines will likely come with a 6-speed manual gearbox that will send power to the front wheels.

Tata will be launching the Nexon in India later in 2017. It is one of the three new product launches scheduled for next year, in addition to the Hexa and the Kite5.
