Tata Motors has started rolling out a software update for the infotainment system in the Harrier, which adds Apple CarPlay functionality.
The Tata Harrier gets a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system on the XT variant and a larger 8.8-inch screen in the XZ trim. Both versions were compatible with Android Auto since launch and will now get the Apple CarPlay connectivity option as well. Other features include voice recognition and SMS readout, Bluetooth and ConnectNext App Suite.
The Harrier was launched in January 2019. The new SUV is based on the OMEGA platform and is available with a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine that produces 138 BHP @ 3,750 rpm and 350 Nm of torque @ 1,750-2,500 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission.
