Tata Curvv Petrol & Diesel variants launched at Rs 9.99 lakh

Prices for the new 1.2L direct-injection turbo-petrol version start at Rs 13.99 lakh, while the Diesel is priced from Rs 11.49 lakh

Last month, Tata Motors launched the Curvv.ev SUV Coupe in the Indian market. Today, the carmaker has introduced its ICE version, which is available with petrol and diesel powertrains. Prices start at Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Tata Curvv comes with three engine options. These include the familiar 1.2-litre turbo-petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines from the Nexon and an all-new 1.2-litre GDi Hyperion engine. This new direct-injection turbo-petrol unit produces 123 BHP and 225 Nm. It is paired with a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The 7-speed DCA is also offered with the 1.5-litre diesel engine, making it the only diesel model in the mass market to offer a dual-clutch automatic transmission.

The Tata Curvv SUV Coupe is based on the new ATLAS platform. Customers can choose from 7 variants: Smart, Pure+, Creative, Creative S, Creative + S, Accomplished S, and Accomplished + A.

In terms of features, the Curvv gets a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system in the centre, a 4-spoke multi-function steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo and a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster. The SUV is also equipped with features like a 6-way power adjustable driver seat, ventilated front seats, reclining rear seats, customizable mood lighting, a panoramic sunroof, a 9-speaker JBL sound system and a gesture-controlled electric tailgate.

The Curvv gets Level 2 ADAS with over 20 safety features and driving aids. The SUV also gets a 360-degree camera, a blind spot monitoring system, 6 airbags, ESP, and an electronic parking brake with auto hold, among other safety features.
