Sunday ride on my Suzuki Gixxer SF250: Dosa & coffee made it perfect

Instead of heading back, I cut across to Rayakottai and then took the under construction highway to Hosur.

BHPian neil.jericho recently shared this with other enthusiasts:

With the unexpectedly drawn out summer showers curtailing all breakfast group ride plans, I set off late on a Sunday morning to my usual breakfast spot in Shoolagiri. The weather was simply fabulous though the prevailing inclement weather conditions meant that there were far fewer motorcycle enthusiasts on the highway, than what you would normally find at this time of the year.

While wolfing down my usual podi dosa and coffee, I realized that the morning was simply too perfect for motorcycling and I decided to take the long way round. Instead of heading back, I cut across to Rayakottai and then took the under construction highway to Hosur. There was so much sand in the middle of umpteen turns, on account of the recent rains, that I had to pay razor sharp attention to the riding, which was hard, given how beautiful the route is. The Suzuki GSXRRRRRRR 250 simply shines on these country roads, where it has the perfect amount of power and weight.

The completed sections of the new highway between Rayakottai and Hosur do let you wring your motorcycle's throttle a fair bit, but on a lovely Sunday like that day, high speed riding was pointless. This 150 kilometer ride was just the right fuel that I needed to power through the rest of the week!
