S.N. Burman, Maruti VP moves to Tata Motors

Sibendra Nath Burman, Vice President, commercial channel, institutional & rural sales and used-car division at Maruti Suzuki India Ltd., has now joined Tata Motors as Vice President - sales & network.

S.N. Burman has been an alumnus of IIT, Chennai. He had been associated with Maruti Suzuki for over 23 years, starting off as a territory sales manager for the Eastern territory of India.

This is the second high profile switch from Maruti to Tata Motors. In September, 2014, Maruti's Chief Operating Officer os Sales & Marketing, Mayank Pareek, moved to Tata Motors as President, Passenger Vehicle Business Unit (PVBU). Incidently, Mayank Pareek too served Maruti for over two decades before moving out. S.N. Burman will be reporting to Mayank Pareek directly.
