Skoda Kodiaq SUV spotted testing for the first time

First spyshots of the upcoming Skoda Kodiaq SUV in production guise have surfaced on the internet. The Kodiaq will make its global debut at this year's Paris Motor Show in October.

Skoda Kodiaq is the production avatar of the Skoda VisionS concept that was showcased at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show in March. Skoda confirmed last month that the production SUV based on the VisionS concept will be named Kodiaq.

Based on the MQB platform, the Skoda Kodiaq will be offered with both petrol and diesel engines, while the plug-in hybrid powertrain which powered the VisionS concept might be offered at a later date.

In India, Skoda might launch the Kodiaq SUV later next year, with a 1.8-litre TSI petrol and a 2.0-litre TDI diesel engine.
