Reports suggest that the Nexon CNG will be launched later this year.

A test mule of what is believed to be a CNG variant of the Nexon has been spotted testing in Pune. The car was seen coming out of a CNG-filling station.

Tata launched CNG variants of the Tiago and Tigor in January 2022. Reports suggest that the Nexon CNG will be launched later this year. If the CNG variant is launched, Nexon will be available in petrol, diesel, electric and CNG powertrains. A petrol hybrid variant of the Nexon was also spotted testing in December 2021.

At present, the Nexon is available with two engine options. These include a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine that produces 118 BHP and 170 Nm and a 1.5-litre diesel with 108 BHP and 260 Nm. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual and 6-speed AMT.
