Scoop! Dacia Spring EV (new-gen Kwid EV) spotted in India

The Dacia Spring EV comes with two electric motor options and is powered by a 26.8 kWh battery pack, offering a range of 220 km.

The Dacia Spring EV, which made its global debut in February this year, has been spotted in India. It is essentially the next-generation Renault Kwid EV.

The Spring EV was spotted at a parking lot somewhere in Chennai. Although heavily camouflaged, the new Dacia logo is clearly visible on the test mule. The headlamps are positioned on the bumper with LED DRLs on top. The overall shape of the Spring EV looks similar to the current Kwid. It has wraparound taillights with a black plastic insert in the centre. Other details include plastic cladding around the wheel arches, which extends to the rear bumper.

Inside, the Dacia Spring EV gets a 3-spoke multi-function steering wheel and a 10-inch free-standing touchscreen infotainment unit.

In the global market, the Dacia Spring EV comes with two electric motor options: 44 BHP and 64 BHP, both powered by a 26.8 kWh battery pack, offering a range of 220 km. The EV is capable of fast charging via a 30 kW DC charger.
