Rumour: Toyota Innova Crysta Touring Sport launch on May 4

Toyota is reportedly planning to launch the Innova Crysta Touring Sport in India on May 4, 2017. The Touring Sport will essentially be a special edition model of the Innova Crysta. It will likely feature the same cosmetic tweaks that are seen on the Innova Venturer, which is being sold in Indonesia.

The Touring Sport version is expected to be offered in a new Wine Red colour. Other expected cosmetic alterations include black cladding on the front and rear bumpers, wheel arches and side running boards. The front grille will get some chrome detailing on the slats, while the standard 16-inch alloy wheels will likely be painted black.

The Touring Sport edition is expected to be based on the regular model's top-end ZX variant. Reports further suggest that Toyota will be offering the special edition only in the 6-seater layout, i.e., with the second row getting captain seats.

Toyota's isn't expected to make any mechanical changes on the Touring Sport edition. However, it is not yet known whether this special edition model will be offered with select engine options or come with the choice of all powertrains that are available in the regular Innova Crysta line-up. Reports suggest that Toyota might offer the Innova Crysta Touring Sport with the 2.7-litre petrol and 2.8-litre diesel power plants.
