Rumour: MG Hector Plus to be launched in June 2020

According to a media report, the MG Hector Plus is likely to be launched in June 2020.

The Hector Plus was showcased at the 2020 Auto Expo. The SUV comes with three rows of seats and can seat up to 7 people. As a result, the SUV is 40 mm longer than the regular 5-seater Hector.

The Hector Plus also gets a black grille and redesigned LED daytime running lights. The headlamp pods get triangular chrome inserts. At the rear, the Hector Plus gets wraparound tail lights without the LED light bar. On the inside, the SUV comes with a 10.4-inch touchscreen infotainment head-unit and a panoramic sunroof.

The Hector Plus is expected to be offered with the same powertrain options as the Hector. These include a 2.0-litre diesel paired with a 6-speed manual transmission and a 1.5-litre, turbo-petrol engine mated to either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed DCT. The Hector Plus might also get the 1.5-litre mild-hybrid option.
