Rumour: Honda NX500 unofficial pre-bookings open in India

The NX500 replaces the CB500X in the brand’s ADV line-up.

Honda is likely to launch the NX500 in India soon, and as per the latest reports, some BigWing dealers may have started taking pre-bookings already.

Reports suggest that unofficial pre-bookings are being accepted for a token amount of Rs 10,000, with deliveries expected to commence in February-March 2024.

The Honda NX500 was unveiled at EICMA 2023. It replaces the CB500X in the brand’s ADV line-up. The bike is powered by a 471cc, parallel-twin engine, which now features a crank counterweight and balancer shaft. Honda claims these upgrades have made the engine smoother. It develops 47 BHP and 43 Nm. Honda has also updated the ECU for improved acceleration.

The NX500 is equipped with a 41 mm Showa upside-down fork and a monoshock at the rear. Braking is handled by dual 296 mm discs at the front and a single disc at the rear. The bike rides on lightweight wheels that are said to reduce unsprung weight by 1.5 kg, adding to an overall weight loss of 3 kg.
