Stellantis begins search for Carlos Tavares' successor

Tavares was appointed CEO in 2021, having been part of several automakers prior, including Renault, Nissan, and PSA.

According to media reports, Stellantis is said to have started searching for a new candidate to fill its CEO role.

The candidate will succeed the current CEO, Carlos Tavares, whose contract will expire in 2026. Having said that, the carmaker did state that there is a possibility that Tavares could even stay in the position for longer.

As per reports, the current CEO has been under pressure due to the brand's struggling North American operations, whose shares and profits seem to be tumbling.
