Rumour: Honda City facelift to launch in India on Feb 14

Honda will reportedly be launching the 2017 City facelift in India on February 14, 2017. The updated City will come with some cosmetic tweaks on the outside, a few feature additions and a new top-end variant.

The City facelift gets a revised front fascia, with styling cues that are inspired from the new-gen Civic. The prominent chrome bar placed in the centre of the grille extends on both sides to be integrated into the headlamp assemblies. The top-end models get LED headlights and fog lights, while DRLs are expected to be offered as standard across the entire range. The side profile remains identical to the outgoing model, except the new set of 16-inch alloys on the top variants. The rear gets a boot-mounted spoiler with a LED stop light, while the taillights and rear bumper have been given some minor tweaks.

The biggest change on the inside is the inclusion of a new 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports Android Auto and a smartphone mirroring platform. The top variants are also expected to get six airbags, push button start/stop and leather seats.

Mechanically, the City facelift will be identical to the current model, and will thus be offered with 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engines.
