Renault Kaptur - interiors leaked in new spy shots

Renault will soon launch the Kaptur crossover in India, which will likely be placed above the Duster in the company's portfolio. The crossover has already been spotted testing in India under heavy camouflage. However, a new set of spy shots has now surfaced on the internet, giving a peek into the Kaptur's interiors.

As per the new spy shots, the India-bound Kaptur's interiors appear to be similar to that of the Brazilian-spec model. It gets a touchscreen infotainment system on the centre console, with the HVAC controls placed below it. The centre console and side AC vents appear to get a contrast coloured trim border, which will likely be colour coordinated to the crossover's exterior paint scheme. The three-spoke steering wheel gets some chrome detailing and is expected to come with integrated buttons for music and telephony.

The Kaptur is expected to be offered as a 5-seater. It will likely come with some added features to differentiate itself from the Duster. These include projector headlamps, LED DRLs, 17-inch alloy wheels and a dual-tone exterior colour scheme.

Under the hood, the Renault Kaptur is expected to employ a 1.5-litre, four-cylinder diesel engine, which will churn out 108 BHP and 245 Nm of torque, while being mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. An AMT variant might also be on offer, since the Indian market has started showing an inclination towards automatic transmissions. The crossover is also expected to get an all-wheel drive system as an option.
